Apple Invites has received its second update this summer, adding two new features for creating digital invitations.
Emoji reactions and confetti animation
Invites – an Apple app for digital event planning – is available on iPhone and iPad for iCloud+ subscribers. Participating in digital events created with Apple Invites does not require an iPhone or a paid iCloud account.
The July release introduces two new features regarding interaction between host and guest:
- Hosts and guests can now react to messages with emojis, sharing excitement as the guest list comes together.
- A delightful confetti animation plays when guests respond, making every reply feel like a celebration.
These two features arrived following a June update that introduced joint event hosting, public guest lists, and new background images. Prior to that release, Apple Invites first debuted in iMessage, bringing invitation tools directly to existing chats.
The Apple Invites app for iPhone is available in the App Store. Creating a digital invitation requires iCloud+, and anyone can respond.
