Perplexity has officially released a completely new version of its macOS application, which now takes the place of the earlier software iteration for desktop users.
Personal Computer features reach Pro and Max subscribers
This software is marketed as an “all-new interface” designed specifically for Mac – serving as the foundation for the core “Personal Computer” agent system.
The launch is accompanied by an introductory video that illustrates exactly how the AI-driven Personal Computer functions within the native macOS environment.
To ensure faster access – a universal shortcut allows users to invoke a new Command panel by simply tapping the Command key twice on their keyboard.
Perplexity began rolling out these specific capabilities in April, but full access is now finally available to every subscriber on either the Pro or Max plans.
The previous version of the app remains online for now, though the company warns it will be deleted soon as users migrate to the new native version.
