How to delete a YouTube video: a question that everyone has faced
We all know YouTube. It has become a kind of TV for the new generation (especially with the addition of advertising, the similarity has increased many times). How great it is after a hard day at work to make yourself some tea, grab some snacks, and watch something cool on YouTube. You can watch educational content about space and healthy eating, or you can scroll through the feed in search of memes and cats. One way or another, YouTube has won our attention and has become the favorite video hosting site of millions of people.
When you watch videos of your favorite bloggers, you involuntarily think: am I worse? You shoot an awkward first video with stutters and stammers (or a squeaky childish voice) and post it to your YouTube channel… And then you forget about it.
Years pass, and on a beautiful summer evening, you discover your old channel. And, oh horror. Old videos from many years ago with crooked editing. What to do? Now you need to figure out how to delete a video from YouTube. And preferably forever. You accidentally upload a video to YouTube that you didn’t want. And in horror, you look for the delete button so that no one sees it. You don’t have to worry anymore because YouTube is not heavy software, so figuring out the popular video hosting will not be difficult.
How to delete a video from YouTube on your phone: method one
You can delete a video both in the YouTube application on your phone and in the Creative Studio. Let’s consider the first option first. So, we look for the YouTube icon on our desktop on the phone. If you don’t find it, then the program has probably been removed. Install it through Google Play (if you have Android) or through the App Store (if you have iOS). Click on the YouTube icon.
On the bottom panel, we find the inscription You. Click on the icon above this inscription. The name of your channel, history, and playlists open in front of you. Scroll down a little.
Find the “Your videos” tab. This is where your ill-fated video that you want to delete is stored.
Now you see a list of your videos. There are three dots next to the video. Click on them.
In the drop-down menu, find the word “Delete” (there is a trash can icon next to it). This is what we need.
Now YouTube will ask a rhetorical question: “Delete this video?” No, I want to upload a video of kittens snoring in a hat. Of course, I want to delete it! That’s why I came here.

How to delete a video from YouTube on your phone: the second method
If, for some reason, you are making your life difficult or you fundamentally do not want to enter the application for your reasons (perhaps you are afraid to click on the red rectangles with white triangles). Then this method was created especially for you.
- Find the YT Studio application on the phone’s desktop. Click on the program icon.
2. On the bottom panel, find the icon with the inscription “Content”. Click here.
3. Here, your gaze will open to all your videos on the channel. Find the one you want to delete and never see again. Find three dots near the video and click on them.
4. At the very bottom of the drop-down list, find the inscription “Delete”. Click on it.
5. A menacing warning window from YouTube pops up, which says that our video will be deleted forever and cannot be returned. Just what we need. Heartlessly click on the “Delete” button.
6. An icon appears saying “Deleting video”.

How to delete a video from YouTube on a PC
If you watch videos on YouTube on a computer and want to delete a video from it, then this guide is especially for you.
- Go to your YouTube page. Click on your avatar icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. In the drop-down list, find “YouTube Studio” and click here.
3. We went to “YouTube Studio”. Find the “Content” tab. All your videos are here.
4. Did you see that video? There are white squares next to it.
5. Check the white square next to the video you want to delete. Now click on the “More action” tab.
6. In the drop-down list, you are given a choice: “Download” or “Delete forever”. We choose the latter option. Click on it.
7. YouTube warns us that the video will be deleted forever.
8. Check the box to confirm the deletion of the video.
9. Enjoy the absence of videos on your channel.
